Our Services
For the Deafblind we provide free social services listed below:
- Professional social counseling: benefits for the disabled, care allowance, the selection of compensation aids etc.
- Social rehabilitation: teaching communication, orientation and mobility with a red and white cane, guiding services etc.
- Interpreting services: interpreting at the authorities and when visiting a doctor in sign language and tactile sign language, Lorm’s alphabet, using dactylography – writing large printed characters into the palm, finger alphabet in the palm or orally if compensated with hearing aids.
- Social-activation services: a week long acitvities, club meetings, arts and sports competitions
- As an additional service we offer vocational rehabilitation.
In providing services we respect individual needs and possibilities and follow professional standards and the LORM´s Code of Ethics.
Services are provided free of charge in all regions of the country. Services are provided by a social worker on the basis of bilateral agreements according to regional affiliation of a client at his home, in the field or in counseling centers.
